Show Notes

Today I had the genuine pleasure of interviewing Farrah Furtado. I can truly say Farrah is one of the most inspiring people I have met; when it comes to wellbeing, she walks the talk. Farrah is deeply immersed in yoga, yoga teaching, meditation, fasting and breath-work plus she shares her knowledge with students from all over the world at her yoga school in Portugal, Bend It Like Buddha, and online. She also nourishes her creative side by writing and film production. Farrah has written several books including her best-selling book,The Journey Metamorphosis: Yoga Teacher Fundamentals, and her movie, Atha Gamma, won a plethora of awards.

We chat about Farrah's childhood in Canada with her immigrant parents from the Azores, Portugal and about how after years of working at a high pressure job in fashion in Taiwan, her health started to suffer prompting a re-examining of her lifestyle. Farrah chose this point to dive head first into yoga teacher training and it seems, she found her vocation. We chat about the numerous benefits of yoga, meditation and mindfulness, like the infinite expansion of inner peace and stillness, the transformative power of fasting and so much more.

It may sound strange but I could really feel Farrah's kindness and compassion when I was chatting with her even though we were on opposite sides of the globe. I hope you find something inspiring in my discussion with Farrah.
